A_AAGORA at the 35th International Geographical Congress 2024
A-AAGORA team member Melanie Biausque participated in the 35th International Geographical Congress 2024, which is happening in Dublin (Ireland), between 24th-30th of August.
Demo IE was featured in session C.06: Coastal Systems: Transdisciplinary science for near-future habitable coasts, with a presentation titled “The Atlantic-Arctic Agora (A-AAgora) project for Ireland: collaboration-based actions for sustainable coastal restoration and management”.
The IGC is a global platform for sharing and advancing geographical research and innovation, particularly in areas related to sustainable development and environmental conservation. This event is a great opportunity for A-AAGORA to showcase its work on nature-based solutions (NbS) and ecosystem restoration, which are crucial for mitigating the impacts of climate change on coastal communities.

The A-AAGORA project, which focuses on the restoration of marine and coastal ecosystems in the Atlantic and Arctic regions through innovative governance and ecosystem-based management (EBM), aligns closely with the themes of the IGC.
