ArousaLab
ArousaLab focuses in building a LivingLab in the Corrubedo-PNIllas Atlanticas area (NW Iberian Peninsula) that will be informed about the AAGORA demo-actions, to encourage the implementation of citizen-driven similar activities.
The goal is to increase social engagement with the protection of this region, increase ocean literacy in general civil Society, while promoting social inclusion, relying on associative groupings that shall lead and promote the activities to be implemented. The proposal area brings coastal ecosystems facing similar pressures as those AAGORA Demos. The activities we are looking for are complementary to those implemented in Demo-PT (reducing marine litter, raising awareness with scholars and other stakeholders, including Enterprises), protecting dunar ecosystems increasing the relevance of using walkways among visitors, and preventing dogs from interfering with nesting birds. Also from Demo-IE, regarding biodiversity protection through invasive species managment, or Demo-NO, encouraging ecoturism in the region, as Ria de Arousa is a relevant spot for cetaceans, aquatic sportive and leisure activities
