2nd Call for Associated Regions
A- AAGORA project is inviting local and regional organisations to apply for financial support
Applying for A-AAGORA project ’s 2nd call for Associated Regions proposals is open, inviting local and/or regional organisations to apply for financial support of up to 70,000 EUR each for sustainable ecosystem development.
The deadline for proposals submission is 20th March 2024.
This A-AAGORA call welcomes applications from local and/or regional organisations across Member States, Overseas Territories and Associated Countries to the Horizon Europe programme .
The project will select four Associated Regions across the referential basins (Atlantic Arctic, Baltic, Mediterranean, Danube/Black Sea) to serve as models of sustainable ecosystem development. A AAGORA expects to select at least one region from each basin, with the Atlantic Arctic basin being an exception where at least two regions are expected to be selected.
The Associated Regions encompass geographically interconnected areas with similar ecosystems or less developed regions that could benefit from the demonstration activities of the A AAGORA project, focused on the restoration of kelp forests, seagrass and sand dunes, and the protection and restoration of coastal areas .
Applicants are expected to propose the implementation of demonstration activities in their Region. The application should focus on at least one of the demonstration activities, using a Living Lab Approach, meaning that solutions are implemented, tested and monitored with the involvement of local citizens and stakeholders, and can change and evolve as the project learns what is best for the Region.
The call is open for applications until 20th March 2024 . The guide for applicants
can be accessed here and applications must be submitted electronically here
Please note: Countries that are part of the A-AAGORA consortium cannot
participate: Portugal, Ireland, Norway, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Romania and Finland.
