EuroMarine Open Science Day 2023
On February 1 and 2, Lisbon hosted the EuroMarine Open Science Day and General Assembly Meeting 2023 with the subject “How can the marine research community contribute to identify and address the Scientific Knowledge Gaps to tackle the global ocean challenges?”
Members of the EuroMarine General Assembly focused on establishing the strategy for the following years after a first day devoted to an open debate on how academics might continue to aid in the restoration of the seas and support the sustainable growth of the Blue Economy.
A-AAGORA was represented at this event through its coordinator Ana Lillebø, who made a presentation of the project within the scope of the “Session 2: Marine Scientific Community Contributions to Achieving the Mission Ocean Challenges”
Also signed was the Mission Ocean Charter, which calls for united efforts to achieve the goals of the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.
